Understanding dance shoe sizing

One of the biggest concerns when buying dance shoes online is getting the right size. Do they run small, big, or true to size? We understand this challenge! For tap and ballet shoes, please order your regular street shoe size. We have extensive experience with different brands and know which ones run big or small. We will personally adjust your order accordingly to ensure the best fit. We also keep extra sizes on hand for in-person try-ons at the studio before you take them home. If a shoe doesn't fit, we can always order a different size for you.

Special considerations for pirouette shoes

Pirouette shoes have unique sizing, and if you're unsure, we highly recommend trying them on in person at the studio. Their sizing can be "very weird," so an in-person fitting is the best way to guarantee comfort and proper function.

Leotards and tights: tips for a great fit

When it comes to leotards, generally, you can go with your true-to-size apparel size. However, we always recommend an in-person try-on for leotards to ensure a perfect, comfortable fit that allows for full range of motion. For tights, we often advise going true to size, but if they are on the border of going up, we suggest going up. This helps prevent rips and tears, especially during rigorous dance sessions, giving you more durability and peace of mind. We aim for durability and comfort in all your dance essentials.

Dance Merchandise and Apparel

For company merchandise like sweats, tanks, and bags, you can typically stick to your true-to-size apparel measurements. We will still order accordingly based on our experience with the brands to ensure you receive a comfortable and well-fitting item.
